On the 27th of August, 2009 I gave birth to a (pretty big) baby BOY. Thats right, its a boy. Now that I think about it everyone who knows me just a bit would also know that a boy would suit me a whole lot better. Not to mention the fact that he is soooo incredibly handsome.

He was 52 cm long, and weighed 3670 grams.

A major con, is that I'm starting to look like Homer Simpson around the belly area.

Now I know some of you nut jobs out there find his belly sexy, but uh... yah I don't... anymore :P I've turned a new page in my life, no more beer belly's... at least on other people.

The pro is that my child is so extremely active, it's so cute. I play little tapping games with it.

(I tap on my belly once, 'she' kicks once etc...)

Isn't it hilarious to see me with a belly? Who would have ever thought that day would come. I had expected bigger derrière with age, but a belly...?! At least there is a logical explanation to it and not the alternate that I might have swallowed a watermelon in my sleep:P

We were both more than ready to find out the sex of my baby, I even had a little pep-talk with 'it' before we went to the hospital. However we were not expecting the talentless man who scanned me. After measuring the baby etc. I asked if he could tell me the sex. He then proceeded to look up the crotch of my child for a good minute or so before telling me; "Well I can't really tell..."

So much for "professionals."

All to say is, if a guy can look at the crotch for a good minute without seeing anything manly down there, we decided its more likely to be a girl than a boy. However if it's a boy, we know which side of the family to blame...

So without further ado, here "she" is with "her" pudgy cheeks, happy, healthy and EXTREMELY active.

I now have a better understanding of why people don't post so many pictures throughout their pregnancy, and why the lighting on the ones that they do post seems so bad.

Since I got pregnant I've been sleeping incredibly well... For those of you who know me know that I've had serious problems with sleep since I was 16, so this is an amazing feeling. 10 hours at night, 2-3 hour nap during the day. Fantastic!

Serious PRO!

However the nausea/vomiting every day at the thought, sight or smell of things or people is definitely a big CON!

So you know when you're in that situation where you left your home and for some reason the next home didn't work out for you to go to anyways, so you stay as a visitor somewhere else.

Then you meet someone online and they invite you to their home for Christmas and New Years. You don't have much else to do, or anywhere else to go, and the guy looks kind of cute, so you go.

Now we all know that Christmas and New Years involves a lot of alcohol, alcohol makes you crazy, crazy leads to "horizontal dancing," "horizontal dancing" leads to nausea, heartburn and many other things that are too gross to mention, and then when you least expect it you're pregnant...

(True story! Congratulate me!)

Laura and I went to this amazing hotel in Puerta Vallarta. The best apparently. It just opened up a month ago. Free bar, beautiful rooms, swimming pool, and the hotel is smack on the beach...

Bob has crawled out of 'his' skin 3 times in the time that I've had 'him,' or should I say 'her.'

I put another preying mantis in the cage with what I thought was a 'him.' Turns out that Bob is a female. She mated with the other mantis and then decided to eat him... It was true love, short but sweet I'm sure.

P.S. I'm going to the States for a couple of weeks, so I don't know how frequent I'll be updating. But expect something good when I get back...

It was a close call though... I am now in Guadalajara, Mexico. I am sorry for my absence, I am however full of very valid excuses as to why I have disappeared for a bit. At first there was jet lag, which I might add is completely overrated. Then I got some sort of Mexico bug which left me with a high fever and unable to keep food or water down. After having been to the doctor where I got injected with all sorts antibiotics, pain meds, fluids etc. I am now up and around again. My last and final excuse is of course that I haven't had a computer up untill and few days ago. Now I do, and we are very happy together.

All that to say, now I am back, and will be here for quite some time updating my blog and entertaining you. To start off, here are some pics of our house... I'm not sure what it looked like before, but apparently there has been a lot of construction work on it. Bless the menfolk!

It's been 4 months and 2 weeks since the first communication between myself and my home in Mexico. During that time so much has happened (closing houses, moving homes, working, visa applying etc.) and I never thought it would be as possible as it is right now.
I am now on my way, leaving tomorrow.
I want to thank everyone who made it possible for me to be going, mental support, monetary support or whatever else you contributed. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! I couldn't have done it without the help from our Family worldwide.

Family from Norway, Romania, China, Spain, Croatia, Japan, England, Italy, Denmark, Mexico and which ever countries I might have forgotten in my old age, all contributed financially towards my trip.
And the rest of the world contributed towards my mental stability. Ha...
I love you all and it has meant so much to me to have so much support, and encouragement.

A special 'Thank you' to my Mom and Dad that have put up with me for the last few months I've been in Denmark, and for all they contributed towards me going in many ways. Love you!
