Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all!
For my family's New Year's party we were asked to bring a little something about New Year and what it means to us etc. So my younger sister and I got together and wrote a little poem.
(We plan to read it whilst eating brownies later on.) Enjoy!

Alas another year gone by,
all of a sudden I think of pie.
But I must not go picking daisy's,
cus last year made me get the crazy's.

On this night our voices sing,
praises to the new born king.
Garbage, there she goes again,
daisy's last us till the end.

So instead of sleeping the night away,
we should be happy, witty and gay.
Slosh ourselves with wine and beer,
to end this "happy" bygone year.

Family all around us be,
indulged in chocolate can't you see...?
The fireworks could take your life,
but please dear Lord, spare his wife.

Miss Sophie is a lucky dame,
drowning herself in champagne.
James gets a lot more than beer,
cus its "the same procedure as every year."

Tonight Slagelse will be a blaze,
But like Bruce said: "Humbla dubla frek a graze."
You may be thinking, "that don't rhyme"
But give us a break, it's New Years time.

I hope this year safely brings,
cake, ice cream and dingalings.
with all this we want to say,
happy, freakin new years day.

Little footnote: Miss Sophie and James are from a black and white short movie called "Dinner for One" which our family watches every new year. (Tradition)
Bruce is Bruce Almighty. The rest you should be able to understand...

Christmas Eve

Three of my older brothers

Glorious Christmas dinner, which among other things consists of duck, glassed potatoes, pork chops, different gravy's and the list could go on. But oh how wonderful it was.

My niece and her fathers dog.

My brother and his other dog. (He's got two American bulldogs)

Joshua the man! (Baby number 2)

Here he is, the second baby in our home, just a few days old after his first bath. I won't say too much or post more than one picture, because I don't want to steal the thunder of the proud parents...

(congrats Adam and Esty)

First baby in the home... (with many more to come)

This is the first baby in our home. The second one will come home from the hospital with his mother tomorrow some time. But from the count so far, there will be four babies in our home, when they all arrive.
This one is Michelle's, her name is Amelia, she's 2 and some months old, and really likes the "goochie goo" baby language.

Just barely sticking her tongue out, which is another thing she likes to do. Oh yes, and blow drool bubbles. very cute, intelligent thing.

A little 'tid bit' about Spanish houses...

Just thought I'd give you a little heads up if you are ever planning on living in Spain.
First of all houses come in all kinds of colors. Below is a picture I took of a house in the South of Spain which just happens to be seven different colors.
Another thing is that if you plan to be in Spain for winter, it's wise to bring A LOT of sweaters as most houses aren't insulated like other places that get cold. Although it doesn't get that incredibly cold (only about -3 at night) it's almost like living partially outside, because of the lack of insulation.
So have a person handy for body heat if you should ever come here. And if you don't like colors (Lots of them) don't even come here...

Our new found mascot!

Ok so here is the story: My partner and I were on outreach in the shopping center making balloons for the kids, and at one point it was so incredibly dead in that shopping center that we decided to make something different. And so with both of our efforts, Ingelbird was created. Not quite sure what kind of a mix of bird he is, but he's cool, started out with just the body, then the eyes. Then after an hour of looking at him on our stand we decided he should have a nose, then finally the wings. Voila, a master piece...
(He rode in the baby car seat on the way home)

Welcome to 'The Rock'

(This is The Rock)

I just got back from another road trip to the south of Spain and Gibraltar. I spent a week away from home, and all in all it was very good.
In the space of one week, I met "top" people of huge organizations and saw monkey's with saggy tits... From 0-25 degrees.
All to say it was an interesting trip and I'll let most of the pictures speak for themselves... Enjoy!

This guy is giving us the keys to the kingdom. He stands at the border from Spain to Gibraltar.

This the view from the top of the rock. Well at least almost the top. Didn't have the heart (quite literally) nor the time to walk all the way up.

If you look closely in this pic you can see a little baby monkey in the tree.

And here is the famous "saggy tits" ape. Sorry it's not so focused, didn't want to get too close, I was a bit frightened...

And here is a shot for all you artsy fartsy people out there who like the queen...

Oldie goldies...

I've known this woman for nine years, and counting. Been through heeps of stuff together in our "heavenly" teen years. And then we met again in Rome, and still click just as well after not seeing each other for years...

In Rome there was a huge hill that we had to go down to get to the little town, and the way up was quite a feat. for anyone slightly unfit. However we found that it was a whole lot easier after a few beers. So by the end of our little escapade in Rome for three weeks, we all went home with buns of steel, and a better alcohol tolerance.
(These pictures are of Bex being too darn lazy to walk back up one of the first times we went down, so I carried her up part of the way)

My shadow and I...
